Scrolls Renderings proudly presents the v2.1.8 update! This build brings a massive overhaul to environmental lighting, weather physics, and high-fidelity textures, making the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2 feel more alive, immersive, and realistic than ever before.
🌥️ Sky, Lighting & Atmosphere
Experimental Skybox Rework: Completely overhauled all skyboxes for unmatched atmospheric depth.
Enhanced Contrast & Warmth: Added deep blue tones to shadows for striking contrast, paired with subtle light-orange sunlight for a warmer, natural glow.
Sharper Shadows: Shadows are now more intense and precisely defined.
Atmospheric Upgrades: Massive improvements to sunshafts, fog, depth of field (DoF), and nighttime illumination.
Cloud Dynamics: Introduced high-resolution textures specifically for cloud shadows.
Global Tweaks: Increased overall exposure and game saturation for a more vibrant, lifelike feel.
🌧️ Dynamic Weather & Water
Next-Gen Rain: Brand new rain textures and heavily improved rain physics.
Wet Roads: Enhanced specular light reflections and added highly detailed road reflections during downpours.
Water Overhaul: Applied new high-resolution water textures across the map.
🛣️ Infrastructure & 4K/2K Textures
High-Res Roads: Added 7 new 4K road textures (4096×1024) and 3 new 2K road textures (2048×2048).
Signage & Barriers: Introduced new red-white crash barriers, updated barrier models/textures, and new high-res road sign textures across 10 European countries.
Trailers: Added 35 company trailer textures in stunning 4K quality (WIP).
Tunnels & Bridges: Overhauled lighting in select tunnels (changed to white) and corrected the lighting color of the Cologne Rodenkirchen Bridge.
🚛 Vehicles & Flares
Cabin Quality of Life: More realistic FOV mirrors, an improved Mercedes steering wheel, and new 3-speed wiper modes (slow, fast, very fast).
Lighting & Flares: Major upgrades to truck headlights, street lamp flares, and traffic lights. Yellow flares have been swapped to crisp white for a modern look.
